Families with young girls should be prepared that it will take more time than planned!
The Palóc private ethnographic collection and the Palóc doll exhibition can be found in the building of the former school at the Abasár junction in Mátrafüred. Folk costume designer Rita Lovászné Juhász has designed the dresses of the 32 Palóc dolls representing a mixture of the former festive and everyday clothing. Along with the costumes of Nógrád and Heves county, the ethnographic culture of Borsod and Gömör county can also be found here. In the second room, the collection of folk artist Magda Szakácsné Mészáros can be seen. Excellent pieces of the collection containing items from more than 100 towns are the folkweave fabrics and the decorative sheets. The materials of the collection have been declared to be protected by the Museum of Ethnography.
